Frequently Asked Questions
- What can I expect on my first consultation?
- At the beginning of your first consultation a case history is taken consisting of the clients medical and lifestyle history. This history is monitored by the practitioner on an on-going basis. Based on this history, the practitioner may give recommendations on diet, lifestyle and postural problems etc.
- How often would I need treatment?
- This depends on whether the condition experienced is chronic or acute. Initially it is recommended that the patient should attend once a week. Other factors have to be taken into account such as the clients general health, lifestyle, diet and environment. After a series of treatments the clients body will become balanced which will relieve the condition. Once the patient is back to health, it is recommended to continue treatment on an ongoing basis to help maintain a balanced and healthy life style.
- Will there be any discomfort?
- The treatment does not cause pain. Patients are treated with gentle relaxing releases which will cause no discomfort. The treatment brings the body into a deep relaxing calmness, generating a sense of well being.
- How long is the treatment?
- Between thirty minutes to an hour, depending on the client's symptoms. The patient remains fully clothed throughout the treatment, apart from remedial message, if required. (This can be a very important part of the treatment.)

- Remedial Massage is designed to speed up recovery from injury by breaking down toxins and scar tissue. It helps to restore full range of movement and regaining strength in the affected areas. The treatment is suitable both for sporting injuries, or injuries received in other circumstances.
- When is treatment needed?
- If you have pain in your body, it can be either acute or a chronic condition. In acute conditions the result can be quick and in chronic conditions relief can be felt from the first treatment.
